The first HVAC upgrade inside the legs of the Gateway Arch in 50 years, this project ensures the comfort and safety of tram passengers on their way to the observation deck. We field measured 20 separate worksite locations, pre-fabricated sheet metal and steel support off-site, installed new duct work, and replaced the original HVAC pneumatic controls with computerized controls.
Simply moving equipment, materials and workers inside the 630-foot national monument was uniquely challenging. We developed special safety protocol to prevent falls, and used safety nets and magnets to contain tools and hardware.
