Challenge

Kingston initiated the project to modernize and enlarge the high school footprint and take the pressure off of the elementary and primary buildings that currently house junior high and high school athletics and events. IFS is tasked with developing and delivering an energy efficient, technologically advanced system with precise temperature control, and completing the project during the short summer break.

Solutions

IFS’ design solution includes state-of-the-art packaged rooftop units (RTUs), with features such as non-fused disconnects, hail guards, power economizers and hot gas reheat. To ensure seamless functionality, adherence to safety standards and on-time/in-budget project delivery, IFS will meticulously guide the provision and installation of the RTUs and essential components such as exhaust fans, propane gas piping connections and RTU condensate drains. IFS is integrating six programmable thermostats for precise temperature control and energy management, further enhancing efficiency. The IFS team is also implementing exterior galvanized ductwork with interior insulation to maintain optimal temperatures, efficiency and durability. When complete, IFS-certified technicians will conduct rigorous testing and balancing of the systems utilizing professional equipment startup services.
